Yizhou district of Hechi recently organized staff of Yizhou TCM Hospital and the health center in Fulong Yao township to carry out volunteer medical service activities, such as health checks, family doctor contract signings, and cancer screening for women, in the township.

A medical volunteer team composed of staff members in cardiovascular medicine, orthopedics, surgery, pediatrics, ophthalmology, acupuncture, and other departments conducted free public consultations and health checks for villagers. An additional two teams also carried out family doctor contract signing services and cancer screenings respectively.

Medical volunteers patiently conducted health checks for villagers, as well as explained health information and related policies to them in detail, guiding them to seek medical treatment and develop a healthy lifestyle.

In addition, a medical team was arranged to give a lecture at a local primary school to explain relevant information about health and minor protection, helping students in poor mountainous areas to enhance their health and self-protection awareness.

More than 200 impoverished villagers took part in health consultations and received free medical checks.
