All 1,020 education projects in Hechi start construction

Since the end of March this year, the construction progress of Hechi's education projects has accelerated significantly, with a total of 1,020 education projects all under construction and 887 being completed.

Among the completed ones were 252 civil engineering projects and 635 equipment purchases, with the project completion rate reaching 86.96 percent. The complete investment value was 1.42 billion yuan ($200.16 million), and the investment completion rate was 86.18 percent.

Among the completed projects, 10 newly-built and relocated compulsory education schools have been finished and put into use, and three are under renovation.

Yizhou district, one of the urban areas of Hechi, has invested about 160 million yuan in the construction of compulsory education projects in the resettlement sites of poor people, involving 20 schools, which together can teach more than 7,900 students.
