Huanjiang builds rural libraries for villagers

Three rural libraries in the poverty alleviation and relocation sites of Huanjiang Maonan autonomous county, Hechi, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region were officially opened to the public on May 14.

To date, a total of 147 rural libraries have been built in Huanjiang, bringing culture to villages and enriching people's lives.

The autonomous region allocated 45,000 yuan ($6,335.58) for the purchase of books and bookshelves. A total of 1,233 books were placed with no less than 400 books in each library.

The coverage and promotion of rural libraries not only provides a leisurely place for residents, but also guides them to educate themselves by learning scientific and technological information.
