13th Guangxi (Hechi) Hoticulture Expo calls for mascot and slogan submissions
The 13th Guangxi Garden and Hoticulture Expo, which will be held in Hechi later this year, has issued a notice publicly soliciting submissions for mascots and slogans that will be used for various media and occasions, such as publicity reports, public welfare advertisements, and theme activities. The works are required to fully reflect Hechi's regional characteristics and cultural heritage, as well as to show the spirit of Hechi people in building an ecologically livable environment.
The mascots should be designed with the characteristics of Hechi's animals and plants, such as city flowers and city trees, cultural and historical elements like Sanjie Liu, as well as ethnic musical instruments or symbols like Zhuang bronze drums. Works should be suitable for redistribution and re-creation in print advertising, electronic media, and model making.
The slogan should be concise, catchy, meaningful, and reflectful of the event’s themes. It should also be suitable for promotion on various platforms.
After experts’ review, the shortlisted works will be announced in Hechi Daily, Hechi Radio and TV Station, and online channels to solicit public opinions, thus helping the review committee to combine opinions from all parties to make their final choice on the expo’s mascot and slogan.
Anyone who wants to take part can email works and relevant files to hcwlxck@126.com. Submissions will be accepted until May 31, 2020.
