Bama Guardian Medical Equipment Co Ltd, the first facial mask production factory in Bama Yao autonomous county in Hechi, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, was put into operation on March 10 after more than 20 days of preparation.
It is estimated that the factory's daily production of civil protective masks will reach more than 160,000, and that the monthly production will be about five million.
"To better prevent and control the novel coronavirus pneumonia, a 'green channel' for the examination and approval of mask production factories was opened by the people's government of Bama, and we got the county's first mask production business license within only a few days," said Li Minghao, the person in charge of the factory.
It only took two days to install and debug the factory's first production line, noted Li, adding that another production line for medical masks will be set up in the near future to reduce the shortage of masks during the epidemic outbreak.
In addition, the factory recruited its workers within the county, with no risk of infection. It currently has 58 employees, including 28 impoverished ones.
