Dahua arranges chartered buses to send migrants back to work
Dahua Yao autonomous county in Hechi, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region arranged its first batch of chartered buses on Feb 24, sending 83 migrant workers, including 19 registered impoverished ones, back to work in Guangdong province.
Due to the outbreak of novel coronavirus pneumonia, the return of migrant workers in the county has been blocked, resulting in severe labor shortages in enterprises in Guangdong.
By cooperating with the Guangdong Provincial Government, the Shenzhen municipal government, and Guangdong's second working group on poverty alleviation, Dahua has been taking measures to help workers return to their work in Guangdong, including arranging chartered buses.
The buses that were used were inspected and disinfected thoroughly prior to departure. Medical workers were also arranged to ensure the health conditions of workers, as part of the epidemic prevention and control measures. Masks, bread, and drinking water were prepared for the migrant workers returning to work.
From Feb 24 to March 10, Dahua will organize chartered buses for the more than 2,000 migrant workers returning to their jobs in Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Huizhou, and Foshan in Guangdong.
According to an official of Dahua's working group on poverty alleviation, a transportation allowance will be given to impoverished people who work in Guangdong.
In addition, Dahua has also set up outdoor boards with employment information on them, as well as carried out internet recruitment activities to meet the needs of both enterprises and job seekers. By Feb 24, over 1,000 jobs for about 30 enterprises in Dahua have been published online.
