18 Bama enterprises approved to resume work
A total of 18 enterprises in Bama Yao autonomous county in Hechi have been approved to resume their work by Feb 12, according to the county’s bureau of industry and information technology.
These enterprises are also required to take measures, such as monitoring their workers’ health conditions, to prevent and control novel coronavirus pneumonia.
“Our enterprise has arranged workers to disinfect the factory every day one week before it resumed production,” said Lin Peixin, vice general manager of Bama Hetai Longevity Industry Co Ltd. “We have also purchased a certain amount of anti-epidemic materials, such as masks and disinfectant.”
Detailed plans for the staff meals were also made before the resumption of work, added Lin.
In addition, Bama encouraged its migrant workers to choose jobs in the county, which can reduce the flow of people and minimize the risks of novel coronavirus infection.
The 18 enterprises are estimated to provide more than 1,000 jobs for people in the county.
Lan Zhengguo, a registered impoverished villager in the county, said that he got a job in Bama Lilang Beverage Co Ltd through an online application.
“I will try to escape poverty this year,” said Lan, adding that he believed that the Bama government could win the battle against the novel cornoavirus epidemic and ensure the safety of the public.
