Traffic police in Hechi have been working 24-hour shifts recently to check every vehicle entering the city, with the aim of containing the spread of the novel coronavirus.

Three checkout points were set up at the Luomadian section of the National Highway 210, the exit of the Hechi-Nanning Expressway, and the road into Jiuwei town. Here, traffic police are carrying out temperature measurements and information registration for all people in vehicles.

People whose body temperature exceeds 37 C are being directed to the nearby epidemic prevention and control observation room for further observation and re-examination. If there is no problem after the re-examination, they can leave.

Since Jan 27, a total of 4,345 vehicles and 16,403 people have been checked, with none having symptoms of fever, fatigue, cough, or dyspnea.
