At the First People's Hospital of Hechi, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, 216 Party members jointly submitted a request on Jan 31 which saw them volunteer to help fight the outbreak of pneumonia caused by novel coronavirus in the city.

There is currently a total of 225 Party members at their posts in the hospital, 96 percent of whom expressed their willingness to volunteer.

Doctors and nurses at the hospital are also devoted to fighting the novel coronavirus in Hechi.

Wang Junjie, head of the hospital's department of infectious diseases, took the initiative to support the hospital's fever clinic. From Chinese New Year's Eve to the sixth day of the first lunar month, he stuck to his post and didn't have a proper reunion dinner with his family.

"In times of crisis, I will not forget the duty of a doctor, and am willing to favor the high-risk areas, such as Wuhan in Hubei province, if the country needs," said Wang.
