Guangxi enterprise donates to Hechi's fight against coronavirus

The Hechi branch of Guangxi Salt Industry Group donated assorted goods to Hechi, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, on Jan 30 to help the city in its fight for coronavirus prevention and control.

The donated items, which included salt for disinfection and mineral drinking water, are valued at 100,000 yuan ($14,416).

In addition, the enterprise has been closely monitoring recent changes in salt demand throughout Guangxi and has drawn up detailed plans to ensure a full supply.

Hechi’s current salt emergency reserves are more than 3,500 metric tons, enough to ensure the city’s salt supply in case of emergency for four to five months.

Guangxi Salt Industry Group is a State-owned enterprise dating back to 1962. It is the only salt enterprise in Guangxi with provincial-level salt wholesale and production qualifications.
