Hechi cuts red tape for construction projects
Hechi's commitment to streamlining administrative examination and approval for construction projects has so far made great headway, said Jiang Fusheng, deputy director of the city’s housing and urban-rural development bureau.
The number of the required application materials has been cut by 51 to no more than 29, while the steps of examination and approval have been lessened by five to no more than eight. The entire procedures will take at most 30 working days, half of the time before.

In addition, enterprises with good credibility are allowed to wait to pay the civil air defense construction fee, support facilities construction fee and deposits for migrant workers' salary until up to three months after obtaining construction permits for their projects.
This is aimed to alleviate the financial pressure on enterprises. Previously, they had to pay all the fees before receiving the permits.
