Construction of Jinchengjiang cycling path in full swing
The main construction of the cycling path in Jinchengjiang district, Hechi is on track to be completed by the end of December, according to Tan Hui, head of the highway management office of the district's transportation bureau.
The cycling path starts at the urban area of Jinchengjiang district and ends at the district's Liujia town, totaling a length of 18.2 kilometers. With a planned investment of 31 million yuan ($4.42 million), construction of the path began on Sept 30, 2017.
According to Tan, the cycling path project is part of the district's efforts to improve the structure of the highway network, promote the development of all-for-one tourism in the district, as well as boost the urban-rural economic and social development.
Supporting facilities, such as a square for parking bicycles and special rest areas along the cycling path, are also being planned.
