Meeting to improve business environment held in Hechi

At the invitation of the investment promotion bureau of Hechi, dozens of domestic businessmen, representatives of chambers of commerce, journalists, and officials of related government sectors met together on Dec 9 to discuss improving the city's business environment.

Comprehensive and in-depth interpretation of Hechi's favorable policies for investment was also made at the discussion meeting, along with on-site question answering.

"It's so nice for Hechi to hold meetings of this kind," said a businessman at the meeting. "I can not only learn about the latest investment policies of Hechi, but also increase my confidence in the development of the city."

To date, 156 first-line investigations and discussion meetings have been held by the investment promotion bureau of Hechi, solving 52 problems for enterprises in the city.

High-quality services have bolstered Hechi investment attraction. In the first 10 months of this year, the paid-in domestic investment from outside the city totaled 25.45 billion yuan ($3.62 billion), accounting for 84.84 percent of the annual target and ranking third in Guangxi.

By October, the actual utilization of foreign investment in Hechi was $5.15 million, up 890.38 percent year-on-year.

Hechi signed a total of 53 projects, with a total investment of 27.89 billion yuan, at the 16th China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO), which was held in Nanning, capital of Guangxi, from Sept 21 to 24. Currently, 25 projects are under construction.
