Construction for garden expo park starts in Hechi

Construction of the expo park for the 13th Guangxi Garden & Horticulture Expo started near Jinshan Lake in Yizhou district, Hechi on Dec 6.

The expo, hosted by the People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, is held annually in the 14 prefecture-level cities in Guangxi in turn. Its purpose is to enhance the landscaping and ecological construction level of the region, as well as strengthen scientific and cultural exchanges in landscape gardening.

The expo park is designed to cover an area of 242 hectares, the largest ever. It is also one of Hechi's efforts to speed up the construction of Yizhou New Area.

With a total investment of 1.05 billion yuan ($149.17 million), the park is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2020.
