Hechi fights poverty through health promotion
Hechi has launched a number of poverty alleviation policies in health, including the one-stop settlement method and the pay-after-diagnosis policy.
All impoverished households registered in Hechi have been encouraged to participate in basic medical insurance. Currently, the number of registered impoverished people covered by basic medical insurance amounts to 1.03 million, achieving a 100 percent coverage rate for the total number of Hechi's registered impoverished people.
The medical insurance reimbursement ratio of hospitalization expenses at designated medical institutions for impoverished people is 90 percent and the ratio for special chronic diseases at outpatient clinics is 80 percent.
Expenses can be paid after treatment at county and village levels medical institutions in Hechi, and impoverished people do not need to pay deposits when being hospitalized.
