Hechi begins work on another expressway
Construction commenced on an expressway connecting Nandan county and Xialao township in Tian'e county, Hechi city on Dec 29.
The 22.4-billion-yuan ($3.3-billion) project will start in Guanxi village in the Bayu Yao ethnic township in Nandan, then connect to the G75 Lanzhou–Haikou Expressway (the section between Liuzhai town, Nandan and downtown Hechi) . It will end after connecting with the G69 Yinchuan–Baise Expressway in Xialao township (the section between Leye county, Baise city and Hechi).
The expressway's main section will be 105.8 kilometers long and have four two-way lanes, with 102.3 kilometers passing through Hechi and the remaining length passing through Baise. There will also be five connecting lines.
According to a project leader, the expressway will allow maximum speeds of 100 km/h and its roadbed will be 26 meters wide. Construction is expected to be completed within four years.
