Hechi enterprises see results at CIIE

A trade group of 49 enterprises from Hechi, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, attended the China International Import Expo (CIIE) held in Shanghai from Nov 5 to 10.

During the event, Nangfang Nonferrous Metals Co and Guangxi Tian'e Zhongyi Fine Calcium Carbonate Technology Co inked $66.5 million worth of purchase agreements with overseas suppliers. Most of them involve the import of resource products, as well as intelligent and high-end equipment.

CIIE is the world's first national import-themed expo, and is a significant event in the development of international trade. The launch of the expo revealed China's determination to further open up its markets to the outside world.

This year, the expo has attracted 172 countries, regions and international organizations, and over 3,600 companies. Its exhibits covered intelligent and high-end manufacturing, consumer electronics and home appliances, automobiles, clothing, daily necessities, food and agricultural products, medical equipment and healthcare.
