Hechi rice ranks among best in China

The rice brand "Yaojiazhuang" from Hechi city, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region made a 2018 list of the "10 Most Delicious Types of Rice in China", which was released at the opening ceremony of the 2018 China Heilongjiang First International Rice Festival held in Harbin, Heilongjiang province, on Oct 10. 　

The goal of the event was to recognize a number of Chinese rice brands with a large production capacity and high output value in order to improve the influence and popularity of China's rice brands. The top 10 brands were selected by experts based on third-party testing results, evaluation data collected in labs and application materials submitted by brand owners.

The "Yaojiazhuang" rice brand was created by the Yaojia Ecological Agriculture Cooperative in Nandan county. The cooperative had a rice production site of 11,200 mu (7,413.33 hectares) spanning the towns of Mangchang, Lizhai and Yueli. The cooperative also owns several other brands, including "Tusifu". Its products have been officially certified for their green and organic farming and processing methods and won gold prizes at the 14th and 15th China International Agricultural Trade Fairs.
