Recently, a pilot application of the Guangxi electronic health card was initiated in a meeting held in Luocheng Mulam autonomous county, marking a new healthcare era for the people of the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region.

The meeting aimed to comprehensively promote the management information system of community medical institutions and the regional use of electronic health cards.

At the meeting, Zhou Gongwei, deputy director of the statistics information center of the National Health Commission, gave full recognition to the achievements made in the implementation of the first phase of the project. He also put forward three things he wished to see happen. Firstly, that community-level health information is more vigorously promoted. Secondly, that development of regional medical treatment centered on electronic health cards and the establishment of "one-card" is continued. Thirdly, to further promote the overall design and enhance the publicity for this project.

The local government of Hechi will continue facilitating the construction of a county-level health platform that interconnects with that of the city-level. The goal of Hechi is to realize the "one-card" policy across all medical institutions and regional health services.
