Hechi stages vocational skills through competition

A vocational skill contest is being held at the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region for migrant workers to show off their expertise and will include 10 finalists sent from Hechi city who have proved to have the best skills in their respective fields.

A total of 330 contestants met at the semi-final held in Hechi. They competed in various categories set for hairdressers, electricians, car mechanics, chefs, tea masters, and nursing assistants for the elderly, among others.

They were screened from more than 2,000 applicants from 11 counties (districts).

The skills competition is being held for the fifth time in Guangxi and the final round takes place in Naning in November.
