The bronze-drum glass viewing platform made its debut at the First Bay of the Hongshui River scenic spot on Sept 30.

With an investment of 80 million yuan ($11.6 million), the glass skywalk featured a bronze drum with a height and a diameter of 21.5 meters.

As a landmark of the scenic spot, the platform is built on a 702-meter-high mountain. Visitors can get a wide view of the First Bay of the Hongshui River on the 35.5-meter-wide glass skywalk.

The scenic spot is expected to be a push to the local tourism industry and boost the unique tourism brand of Donglan county. It can greatly help propel local economy and raise people's income.
