New gallery gathers first-class paintings and calligraphies

The Hechi Painting and Calligraphy Gallery opened on Sept 30 with 67 pieces of calligraphy works and 50 pieces of art works being displayed to embody the city's positive spirit.

Located near city sports center, the gallery was set up to offer public access to outstanding art collections.

The creations on display were closely related to the primary themes of the times presented in elegant styles, through which one can learn drastic social changes and development achievements over the 60 years' history of Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, especially in the past 40 years since the implementation of the reform and opening up policy.

Hechi's calligraphers association was also set up during the opening ceremony.
