Hechi takes lead in real-name treatment in Guangxi
The real-name registration system for medical treatment has been fully implemented in Hechi since Sept 6, the first one in the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, according to a notice released by the Hechi municipal commission of health and family planning.
The notice indicated that patients shall take their valid identity certification when registering for medical treatment, including second-generation ID cards, residence booklets, passports, military officer's certificates or social security cards. They should also offer effective contact information such as their phone number.
As a significant action of improving medical treatment services, the real-name registration system will push forward the transformation of medical service mode, and promote the exchange and interaction between doctors and patients, making it much more convenient to see a doctor, stated a relevant person in charge who works in the commission.
Patients can enjoy more high-quality services with the new system. It can store patients' information for a long time, benefitting to the self-health management and auxiliary diagnostic tests. The system will also provide effective and safe medical services for patients to get timely treatment and cure. Moreover, it is beneficial to set up a complete out-patient appointment system, which is convenient for patients, and can improve the healthcare environment.
It has been reported that the system will strictly follow the information security and privacy system to protect the patients.
