Nandan forest park to offer night tours
Nandan county, Hechi, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region is planning to turn the proposed Jiulonggou Forest Recreational Resort into China's first forest park to offer night tours. The move is aimed at promoting all-for-one tourism.
Meeting the criteria for a national 5A scenic spot, the resort aims to be a world-class tourist destination that integrates a summer resort with rural landscapes, sports, and science education.
Located in the central-western area of Nandan, the resort will be just five kilometers from the county's main urban area and will cover an area of 5,780 hectares. The terrain is mountainous and the climate is comparatively cool in the summer.
By building the resort, Nandan is taking full advantage of its local history, culture, and natural environment, said Wei Yongshan, Party secretary of Nandan.
Jiulonggou is rich in natural resources. The county will explore its unique landforms, altitude, climate, plants, rivers and waterfalls, and focus strongly on branding itself as a pleasant summer resort.
The county will play up its titles of "National Garden County" and "National Afforestation Model County" and take full advantage of its status as a green lung and a natural oxygen bar. It will kill three birds with one stone by building a recreation resort that triples as a national forest park and a national 5A scenic spot.
