Minerals
Hechi is on the Pan-Pacific metallogenic belt and has an abundance of non-ferrous and other metals and a large reserves of a variety of minerals that are widely distributed and of good quality, with a good utilization value.
These minerals spread across 11 counties, with 43 of them at 205 sites, including tin, antimony, zinc, indium, copper, iron, gold, silver and manganese. Nonferrous metals account for a large proportion, giving it the nickname “home of non-ferrous metals”.
Its recoverable deposits of tin, lead, zinc, antimony, silver, indium, cadmium, sulfur and arsenic are Guangxi’s largest. The tin reserves account for a third of China’s total, and its indium reserves are among the world’s largest, while its antimony and lead rank second in the nation.
The city also contains a lot of vanadium, copper, gallium, gold, iron, limestone, marble and coal.
