National Youth Outdoor Summer Camp tours to Hechi

The opening ceremony of the 2018 National Youth Outdoor Summer Camp Hechi Station was held in Hechi, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, on July 19, with the camp concluding on July 23.

More than 50 government officials, coaching staff and journalists as well as 210 campers selected from all over the country attended the ceremony.

Sponsored by the Hechi Sports Association and organized by the Hechi Mountaineering Association, the camp was strongly supported by the Chinese Mountaineering Association and the Sports Bureau of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

Consisting of various characteristic activities such as jungle traversing, environmental protection lectures, a campfire party, rock climbing, canoeing, and sericulture base visiting, the camp aimed at giving students a broad overview of the scenery and customs of Hechi.

Yang Weiqun, director of Hechi's culture, broadcasting, press and sports bureau, stressed that to organize a safe, scientific and distinctive outdoor activity, all members should work together to offer participants an abundant and interesting learning experience.
