'Feiniao zongzi'-making competition held in Huanjiang to celebrate Fenlong Festival

Huanjiang Maonan autonomous county in Hechi, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region held a "Feiniao zongzi"-making competition on June 24, during the Fenlong Festival, attracting 40 Maonan residents to participate.
"Feiniao zongzi" is a kind of bird-shaped dumpling made of glutinous rice, meat, sesame and peanut wrapped in calamus leaves. It is an important part of Maonan culture and represents peace and happiness.
After a fierce competition, the referees evaluated the contestants' work and selected the winners.
The competition not only enlivened the festive proceedings, but also served as a perfect showcase for Maonan culture.
