E-commerce, logistics boost economy in Luocheng
In recent years, the government of Luocheng Mulam autonomous county in Hechi, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, has been actively promoting the construction of e-commerce and logistics to boost trade and commerce.
E-commerce service stations were established in 67 poverty-stricken villages in Luocheng, powered by Guangxi Zhong'ou E-commerce.
Since 2017, the company has sold agricultural products worth 50 million yuan ($7.8 million) on its e-commerce platform.
At present, the county's e-commerce firms number over 50, with 123 rural e-commerce service stations in operation.
An integrated information management and logistics system has also been developed to help bring together primary, secondary and tertiary industry –promoting the sale of agricultural and local products throughout the country.
In addition to this, Luocheng is optimizing its business environment and promoting the development of its emerging service industries.
During the first quarter of this year, the total retail sales of consumer goods in the county totaled 580 million yuan, representing a year-on-year increase of 15.1 percent.
