Luocheng Mianhua Tiankeng Tourist Resort takes shape

A cliff path in Mianhua Tiankeng is under construction as part of the Luocheng Mianhua Tiankeng Tourist Resort project in Mianhua village, Siba town, Luocheng Mulam autonomous county, Hechi in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region.
With a total investment of 320 million yuan ($49.45 million), Luocheng Mianhua Tiankeng Tourist Resort project strives to create a 4A scenic spot with leisure, health, agricultural, sightseeing and Mulam folk experience activities relying on the natural eco-environment of the tiankeng, an especially large sinkhole with a name that can be translated as ‘heavenly pit.’
The overall construction period of the project will be completed in two phases over four years including Mianhua Tiankeng, caves and nearby villages development.
At present, the construction of the trailer park and parking lots, tourist service centers and Tiankeng viewing platform has been completed, bringing an income of over three million yuan for local residents.
The construction of a glass skywalk, homestay, cave development and comprehensive tourism services is underway in an orderly manner.
Once the project is completed, Luocheng Mianhua Tiankeng Tourist Resort is expected to entertain 300,000 tourists each year with the direct tourism spending of 200 million yuan, which can benefit over 1,550 residents in Mianhua village, including 225 poor households with 883 impoverished people.
