Huanjiang receives three awards at ICIF

Huanjiang Maonan autonomous county received three awards at the 14th China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industry Fair on May 14 in the categories of Best Organization, Best Demonstration, and Most Creative Chinese Arts and Crafts, for which it received a bronze medal.

Twelve categories of exhibits, including bamboo hats, masks, bronze drums, bamboo bicycles, camellia oil, cliff tea and silk quilts, were extremely popular with audiences.

The bamboo hats stood out from more than 10,000 exhibits and won the Most Creative Chinese Arts and Crafts Award.

Items including bamboo hats, masks, bronze drums and bamboo bicycles were well-received with buyers from various countries. Clients from Russia and Northern Europe placed an order for 8,000 bronze drums and several bamboo bicycles.

Huanjiang made the most of the fair by holding an event to attract investment and promote its tourist programs. It signed contracts worth 3.63 billion yuan ($570.38 million).

A public performance characteristic of the Maonan ethnic group was held at the Shenzhen Museum, showcasing its unique culture and image.
