A culture and art festival was held on April 13 at Peihong Minzu Middle School in Nanning, capital of Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, with students celebrating the traditional Sanyuesan Festival by dancing, singing and promoting the folk customs and delicacies of Guangxi's minority groups.

Founded in June 1952, the school was named after the famous educator Lei Peihong. Currently, there are more than 1,700 students from the Zhuang, Yao, Dong, Miao, Jing, Hui, Sui and Mulam minorities on campus, accounting for more than half of the school's student roll.
