The 2019 China-ASEAN Traditional Medicine and Health Tourism International Forum, also known as the Bama Forum, will be held in Bama Yao autonomous county, Hechi, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region from Nov 8 to 10.

Sponsored by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and the People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, the Bama Forum is a high-level forum of the China-ASEAN Expo, which is held every two years.

This year's forum aims to exchange practical experiences in the development of traditional medicine and the health tourism industry between China and ASEAN countries, explore the development path of major health industries and the health tourism value of traditional medicine, as well as strengthen China-ASEAN health tourism cooperation.

Senior experts in the fields of health, medicine, and tourism from different entities such as domestic and foreign government agencies, international organizations, research institutions, as well as enterprises have been invited to have discussions around four sub-topics: the construction and development of a health tourism demonstration zone; the tourism value of traditional medicine; the value and development of the health industry; and the construction of China-ASEAN health tourism cooperation mechanisms.

The forum will also carry out a set of activities on Chinese medicine culture publicity, including exhibitions, health consultation, and health lectures to further promote the influence and development of Chinese medicine health culture. In addition, the invited guests will participate in an inspection tour of tourism products in Bama Health International Tourist Resort.
