After two days of competition, the Belt and Road China-ASEAN Boxing Championships concluded in Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region on Oct 27.

The competition was authorized by the International Boxing Federation and sponsored by the Sports Bureau of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region with the support of the Asian Boxing Federation and the ASEAN Boxing Association. The success of the first championship in 2018 attracted many media outlets and boxing enthusiasts to Nanning for this year's edition. It has laid a solid foundation for the development of boxing in Guangxi and China, as well as serving as an international sports calling card of Guangxi.

This year's championships aimed to further boxing’s popularity in Guangxi, as well as strived to be one of the biggest boxing competitions in the ASEAN region and across Asia.

There were eight levels of men's and women's competitions in this year's boxing championship. In addition to the Chinese team, eight teams from nine ASEAN countries such as Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Singapore, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Myanmar took part.

In the final, the Chinese team, which was comprised mainly of local boxers in Guangxi, won three championships.
