NEVs and EVs from Guigang highlight the 16th CAEXPO

The new energy vehicles (NEVs) and electric vehicles (EVs) produced in Guigang, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region were displayed at the 16th China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO), showcasing the achievements of Guigang's manufacturing industries to ASEAN countries.
All NEV enterprises and major EV enterprises of Guigang showcased a total of 46 types of products at the 810-square-meter booth in the E Pavilion of Nanning International Conference and Exhibition Center, including SUVs, sedans, buses, and logistic cars.
Located in the southeastern part of Guangxi, Guigang is a city with a history of more than 2,000 years. It has accelerated the development of its NEV and EV industries in recent years by introducing three NEV enterprises and 87 electric bicycle enterprises to the city. The total investment of the three NEV projects exceeds 16.2 billion yuan ($2.27 billion) and after completion, the annual output value and the tax revenue is expected to reach 74.5 billion yuan and 1.12 billion yuan respectively. In addition, Guigang has also set up a design and research and development institution of NEVs.
Currently, Guigang is planning to build Guangxi's second automobile production base for NEVs with a planned area of 100 square kilometers and a planned construction land area of 74.1 square kilometers. It will build a modern NEV industry base integrating complete vehicles and parts manufacturing, new energy vehicle tests, as well as cultural enterprises, businesses, tourism, and green ecology.
After the completion of all projects under construction, Guigang will achieve the goal of possessing a 100 billion yuan automobile industry and a 100 billion yuan industrial park with the capacity of producing 20,000 passenger cars, 50,000 coupes, 400,000 SUVs and MPVs, 100,000 special vehicles, and 300,000 sets of auto parts per year.
